Cross to Bare

She rose against the wind with her broken talon, the sky didn’t deny her. She hunted, she soared, she lived as though whole. Her wound was hidden in flight, but not erased. Still, she carried herself with grace meeting the day not with bitterness,but in quiet defiance. So too are we.
